MA Education specialising in early years music
Deze studie is de eerste MA in Engeland door middel waarvan men zich verder kan specialiseren in de voorschoolse muziek educatie. Voor bezitters van het Muziek op Schoot docenten diploma een uitgelezen kans om zich verder te verdiepen in de muziekeducatie van het jonge kind. The specialist module covers content and knowledge in Early Childhood Music Education. A second module covers research methods and a small individual study project on a topic in Early Childhood music. For the third module students undertake an independent study of their own choice and then write it up in the form of a dissertation.
The course is part-time and runs over three years thereby providing students the opportunity to combine study with full-time work.
Qualifications to enter are a bachelor diploma in music, music education or a related field. Applicants may be considered if they have a degree in a non-related field and can demonstrate that they have practical experience of early childhood music education. You need to mention a referee on your application form. A person who can testify that you are motivated and capable to complete the courses with success.
On completion of one module (60 credits) students will receive a Post Graduate certificate. On completion of two modules (120 credits) students will receive a post-graduate diploma. Two modules plus the dissertation will be awarded the masters.
The price per module at the moment is £1200 GBP, but this is subject to confirmation!
PG-certificate.
