Early Years Music Education
Als muziekpedagoge en componist/arrangeur is het mijn streven om muzikaal artistieke nieuwsgierigheid te doen ontwaken en muzikale vaardigheden te stimuleren. Aan de universiteit van Exeter, Engeland, heb ik mijn PhD behaald in Education met als specialisatie Voorschoolse Muziek Educatie bij Dr. Susan Young. Op internationale conferenties heb ik mijn onderzoek gepresenteerd over muzikale bewegingsrepresentatie van jonge kinderen. Ik ben een reviewer voor de MERYC conferentie. De afgelopen 21 jaar heb ik vele baby-, dreumes- en peutermuziek cursussen gegeven alsmede workshops aan ouders en pedagogisch medewerkers. Ik componeer muziek voor jonge kinderen die ook educatief is te gebruiken.
Dr. José Retra
A music pedagoge and composer/arranger, my aim is to awaken musical artistic curiosity and expansion of musical skills. I obtained my PhD in Education with Dr. Susan Young, specialising in Early Years Music Education from the University of Exeter (UK) in 2011. On International conferences I have given presentations concerning my research about young children’s musical movement representation. I am a reviewer for the MERYC conference. In de past 21 years I have given many parent-child courses for children aged 4 months to 4 years and workshops voor child care workers and parents. I compose and arrange music for young children, also for music educational settings.
